Well I’m out.    TAKE IT!

I rode to my brother’s yesterday and the bike isn’t running right.  The plan is to get it going better this morning instead of going to the Americade in hopes that I can still make the Iron Butt ride (check in is by 6pm…. 200 miles away).

If this bike keeps me from this ride I am done with it…..

That sucks!  I am heading out, for Americade, at 0900.  Would have been cool if we could have met up.  Good luck getting the bike going.  I hope you make the Iron Butt.

A word of advice, do not ride the Super Enduro unless you have a wad of cash in your pocket. If I had your 2 wheeled skills off-road, I would be planning a trip to our local Katoom dealer in Fulton. It's that good.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.  I'm not that good off road, just lucky.  I can't even ride a decent wheelie.

I've got a buddy that is part owner of a KTM Dealership north of Albany.  Of course that's what he rides. He keeps trying to get me on his bike. I know if I try it I'll have to get one.  With a kid starting College this Fall, it probably wouldn't be the smartest thing I've ever done.  So, for now, I'll stick with my KDX.  It does everything I'd like it to do.

GWH....I was only kidding when I said you can stop posting pics now.   :D

But I wasn't kidding about being jealous!

Please post more pics when you've got time.  I'd love to see more of Americade.

Joe

Oh!, I saw a new Spyder driving down the road in Albany today. The guy was leaning off it like he was siding a Formula One bike...well...almost like that.  He was just cornering through an intersection.  Kinda goofy way to make a turn.  Hopefully he was just screwing around, and that's not how you have to ride one of those things.  Could have been a poser too.  He did have the complete matching outfit....

I've said it before and I still believe that the Spyder is a revolution in motor-sports. It's not a motorcycle, it's more like a very high performance ATV or sled for the road. Do you need to lean? I don't think so, the thing rails through corners as fast as you dare take them however. It just sticks.

Riding behind them in Lake George showed their limitations however. They are not narrow and could not lane split at all.
