Look for a announcement, tomorrow the 15th, where the truck trails ARE closed to atv traffic. Now is the time for anyone who has or knows anyone with a camp or land to sign a land consent form for a trail on their property, a insured trail... It will do no good to complain to NYS as their mind is made up, maybe someday when we are recognized as a recreational vehicle things will change, I can only hope so but until then the clubs of Lewis County are working their butts off to keep our sport "rolling"..

The DEC goal is to shut down all atv's on state owned land. What damage is an atv going to do to a truck trail Doesn't matter... the tree huggers have made the DECs mind up for them. Off Road Vehicle Users even as a whole including ATVs, Motorcycles and Jeeps/4X4s will NEVER have enough money or political clout to go toe to toe with the treehugger groups. They have more of a head start and are seen as more politically/environmentally correct by the general public... and Al Gore

Bargy (Main), Jefferson, Oswego Lorraine, Boylston Hawley Oswego Boylston
So it looks like Winona is now closed. What about Happy Valley? Anyone know? What is left open? Anything?
No sooner do I get me dirt bike registered...

I'd like to know how they got Wart Rd closed. Wart is a town road. What a huge MF'ing crock of sh!t this whole state is! I'm really beginning to hate this place. The last few days have made me very bitter. First the sled deal and now the ATV deal. What the hell is happening to our rights? When does it all end? Why is it no one ever wants to stand up for our rights? There are something like 700,000 ATV's in NYS. Where the heck are these people? I can't believe how few people there are that will actually stand up and fight for these things. Seems like the majority just bury their heads in the sand and let the government walk all over us.

I cant believe this , my family has been riding winona forest for over 10 years without a problem , I started there to get to the snirt ride , by the looks of it we can no longer ride the hill at all because all the roads that are mentioned are the roads that I road on , so I guess its time to sell my atv then because there is no place to ride it.

Vince, Come to the May 3 ride in Lewis County, there will be a NYSORVA meeting that evening @ 7PM and the public is welcome. We need to show up in force to ANY event so we can be counted.

If you read the last statement from Drabicki at least they leave a little light at the end of the tunnel for us to hope for. I'm waiting for my wife and I to get tickets on our bikes then I can make them look like real asses.

Right now we are uncertain if we can have a ride on the 3rd, we have 2 town boards we have to contact to see if they will open roads for a special event and honestly don't know if we can do it in the time frame, I will keep everyone posted as to what is going on as soon as I receive info on this,,,,,,,,sorry

Just hung up with Bob Diehl and he says we are going to do our damndest to have our ride the 3rd, just to show that the truck trail situation did not hurt us as bad as they thought. He will be getting hold of the town supervisors we need to possibly have a special meeting on this issue. In the meantime since my last post I have had 2 phone calls from landowners who want to get on board with the insurance and create a trail on their lands,,,the light at the end of the tunnel

I should hope that we don`t give up on the May 3 date because giving up is exactly what the DEC and their supporters want us to do. Someone has got to stand up to these people!!
