Congrats on the license! My girlfriend and I are taking an MSF course this weekend where we will both get our licenses. Now if I could just find a good beginning bike like you have for Lynn...I can't believe how hard it is to find a good one!

Pastrana is one crazy dude...but how can you not like him? He is just out to have fun and give 110% ALL the time! Pretty cool character.

So I heard! I told him that you and Lynn are what I aspire Tiff and I to be. Riding partners for trail rides and pit crew for the races! I just found a KLR 250 for sale 15ish miles from work that I'll go look at next week after work. When Tiff gets a little more comfy on bikes we'll have to get a DS ride together. We live in Parish so we could meet somewhere around halfway and tour some scenic country roads on the great Tug Hill!

I'm halfway looking for another bike for Lynn... she has a hard time starting it so E-start is the way to go.
I just got a complete bottom end off E-bay for 85.00 shipped from California. Her bike has a strange shifting problem I think is in the internal linkage. I took those parts out of the donor last night and I'll install them in her bike as well as the clutch from the donor this weekend. While I'm in there I need to check the compression release linkage and I'll probably swap the stator assembly out as well.

Getting together for some riding sounds like a plan let me know when you are ready!

I apologize for hi-jacking this thread, but there are now TWO MORE licensed riders!! OK, we don't have the license yet, but we will in 2-3 weeks after all the paperwork goes through. We both took a safety course where we received road test waivers and insurance reductions. We used www.gomotorcycling.net and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to start riding or refresh their skills! It was amazing to watch Tiff and the few other first-timers progress over the two days of riding....the course was very well set up. Now to find a good bike for her...
