As I sit waiting for a back injury to heal by July...Looking at some trips around the Tug this summer & wondering if anyone knows if you can ride Brantingham to Stillwater (believe its Partrigeville rd) and if you can ride the long Railbed rd to the center of the tug hill to North south rd to Highmarket or across to North osceola... open in winter for sleds, not mentioned on the ATV map, but would be some nice miles if open.

Thanks for the link here Phantom.

A map will be available sometime this month, the trails you speak of are snowmobile trails and not ATV, Partridgeville Road to the end and turn around, 10 mile crossing is not open to atv;s, the railroad bed at Tabolts Corners is not open to atv and to get to Highmarket you "should" use the Moore Road off Gomer Hill Rd to Plummer to North-South and into Highmarket, about the middle of may ask where a map might be purchased and this will be your current guide, I just got back from a 72 mile ride from Timberview to Barnes Corners and then down the road a little to county land, all legal and open right now.  Stopped at Flat Rock Inn and helped Gordy pull about 20 quills out of one of his dogs mouth, not a pretty thing so ddon't anyone try wrestling a porkipine,,,,,Dick

Looks like your bike is plated ? (the one in the avitar) is it plated as an ATV or Motorcycle? If you are riding a street legal Dual Sport / Enduro you can get virtually anywhere.

^Thanks for the info.

Long story, but just getting back into motos again. NH plates right now as my old man has been it riding out there. On the fence if I will NY road legal or ATV reg it this year. May just ATV reg this year, seeing that I wont be able to ride till later in year, and most the guys I plan to trip w/ are ATV... Next year  will put on the road. Mainly for trail fun around my area and if I ride the hill still gonna put in truck for the trip there, she's fun in the woods, but 65 on the highway she's wheezzin'.

Definitely, definitely make it road legal the first time you register it as anything in NY. The state is so anal I wouldn't be surprised if you could not get it road legal in NY after registering it as an ATV. You don't have anything to lose...you can ride a "motorcycle" anywhere you can ride an ATV.

Yep... shouldn't cost much if any more to street register/insure the bike vs. an ATV plate. You can still ride with the wheelers but go more places they can. My DRZ is geared down and gets buzzy around 60-65 but you don't need to go that fast on most roads anyway.
