Please help save our trails

The NYS DEC has seen it fit to close several logging roads in the tree farm around Speculator. Please sign this petition to help save these trails. The trails are open to the public and are on private land, but the DEC has the recreation managment rights and has closed several trails and roads to snowmachines and atvs

Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"Restore all snowmobile trails in Perkins Clearing and Speculator Conservation Easement"

I didn't make the petition. The guy how made it run a snowmobile web site ilsnow.com.

When we had a meeting with the DEC on the may 30 it was brough up afew time. But the DEC will not open any road to the atv because of it being a public roadway Blah Blah Blah

Now how can a logging road be consider a public roadway

We havn't given up on the atv, we're just waiting on the ruling about atv's on public roadways before we state that fight

Some real good comments in the petition. And then the DEC will tell the public gee we didn`t get any comments on the matter so we just went ahead and did what we thought was best. Don`t forget the DEC is made up of activists who can`t be trusted!!

It's time the BS hit the fan. There are 8 days left before NYS government goes on Legislative recess. If nothing is accomplished by June 23 you can kiss the summer riding season good bye. It's time we gathered the masses and meet our elected officials at the door of Empire Plaza the day they return from summer recess. We will be asking everyone to spread the word and join us. We would like to see at least 10,000 people on at the front door of the capitol building in Albany the day they return from summer recess. We will be involving everyone that has been screwed by the DEC or the NYS government for any recreational activities. Not just snowmobilers. We want Snowmobilers, ATV'ers, Hunters, Fisherman, Boaters, Business owners, camp owners, ETC.. All the PC crap has run its course. The letter writing BS, the begging, and all the backdoor politics are not getting our money or our land we pay taxes for back to us. It's time we took a stand as tax paying citizens of NYS. Start passing the word around to anyone and everyone that has been affected. We are losing our money, our trails, our lakes, our priviledges to use State Land, and who knows what they will pull out of the DEC's collectives asses next week. Save a vacation day from your jobs since this will need to happen on a weekday. We will be filing for the neccesary permits and are currently contacting speakers. Keep watching and if you belong to any other forums such as ATV, sportsman, or anything pretaining, start passing the word around.
