Me having free time and an internet connection means trouble.  I had nothing to do yesterday so I ended up cruising ebay and craigslist for a while, before I know it I was driving up to NE Ohio to pick up an atc 110 (from my apartment near Pittsburgh PA).

The price was right as I paid $90 for it, but of course it needs some work.  I was told that about 4 years ago it just stopped getting spark so the guy took the ignition coil off and it sat in the garage since.  So for starters I need an ignition coil and to put some tubes in the rear tires.  For now I am thinking that I will keep it in running condition to use as a spare trike, it is nice having one that will fit in the back seat of your car.  Maybe it will return to Ohio for some 110 racing that is going on in 2 weeks, hey I have to pack up the apartment that weekend and it's only 1.5 hours from the track.

I think I have now bought more trikes in Ohio then anywhere else, despite never living there… this is my 4th Ohio pull (4 trikes and 1 quad).

My Honda in my Honda….. (hey, does your trike hauler get 37 mpg?)

That's a great picture of the 3 wheeler in your car! Do what you have to do right!

It fit in the back of the Civic easier then I thought, just had to take off the tires and handlebars.  Actually it is kind of nice having a toy hauler that gets 37 mpg, maybe I should use this as my main ride.

I bought a coil on ebay so maybe mid week I can see it if runs.  My parents are on a cruise so I have until Saturday to work on it, then it has to get hidden at my friends.  See I am supposed to be down to only 1 trike by September… they won’t be happy about this purchase.

So mere days latter I find myself diving to pick up another craigslist find.  This time it is an ’83 Honda 110 that was “complete, might need a coil, good parts machine.”  But like they say, one mans parts machine is another mans treasure.  So I handed over $40 and crammed it in the back of the civic.

My parents were on a cruse last week so I have time to work on both trikes before they got home.  The ’83 just needed a new plug and plug wire to get it running, the ’80 needed an ignition coil which I picked up off ebay so it runs now too.  I hid the ’80 at a friends house before the parents came home but figured I could get away with keeping the ’83 at home since it was a $40 trike that runs.  I went out to a friends yesterday and he gave me the rear brake parts and pull starter I need, now it is just a decent seat pan and exhaust away from being ready.

I also spent last week cleaning out the shed and I have gotten rid of most of the extra parts so now my dad isn’t pushing to have me sell off my stuff!   :D :D :D

Group shot before the parents come home!

Let the painting begin!

I traded got the '83 going and traded it off for a beat up 250SX that one of my friends now has.  I brought the motorcycle up to a friends barn for winter storage last weekend (yes, I now it was nice all week and I should have looked at the forecast first), so with the extra space in the garage I tore into the 1980 honda 110.  Not that I really have a use for a 110 but if I have it then it might as well look decent.  I will get a '79 decal kit and make it into a '79 clone, the trike that got me into the world of motorsports some 13 years ago.

Well the 1980 is coming along slowly but it is looking good so far.  I have the frame and most of the parts painted and ready for assembly.  I still need to finish the bodywork on the tank and then get some auto paint for the tank, forks, and headlight bucket.  Then is is just a night off assembly and a few miscellaneous things and it will be set.... of course I still haven't figured out what I am going to do with it when it is done.... Huh??

Motor has new paint, piston, Cam chain, shifter shaft, shift linkage springs, clutch plates and springs, tranny inspection, ect....
