I have had it with Sportmann, their parts department sucks, it has for years and still does.  They always tell me the new parts will be ordered and come in 5 -7 days, I don’t think they have ever been in on time.  Not like it would matter because they rarely call when the parts do come in. 

2 years ago I ordered 2 parts for my neighbors bike, I was told 5 – 7 days.  I told them as long as they came in before I left for school 2 weeks later it was fine.  I called before I left and no, the parts weren’t in.  I called a week after that from school, still the parts weren’t in.  So 2+ months later I come home on break and stop in and what do I get… one of the parts I ordered came in and the other was backordered without an expected date.  NO PHONE CALL TO TELL ME THIS, EVER!!!!

So I have been ordering my parts on line since, even after shipping the parts were about the same price.

Now since I am back in town I want to give my local dealer some business so I figure I will give them another chance.  This time it took 8 days for the parts to come in.  No, I didn’t get a phone call but I didn’t call every day after the 5th day checking on them, granted being on hold for 10+ minutes on average didn’t impress me either.  Now when I go to pick up the parts guess what, one of them is backordered so I get the “we will call you when it gets in”…. yeah right!  I am done there.

I was done with them in the early 90's, same type of experience.
