Not the ATV Trail Rider mag, but the db TR mag.  I wrote an article about Highland Park Resort down in Georgia and it's on page 40! Woo-hoo!

I check it out on line but do not have a subscription to the hard copy editions. I don't even get a newspaper! About the only thing I get is the American Motorcyclist magazine because it comes with your membership and the free sled mags I always seem to get even though I've never subscribed Huh??

The TR website is awful, but I really like their mag.  It's pretty much the only one dedicated to HS's and enduros.  Most db mags focus on MX.

If you want to do it, send me a photocopy, and I can scan it for GWH.
I'm sure everyone would like to check it out.

Very nice review DD.  Is that the first time you've been published?

If you ever come on a ride with the gang, you'll have to promise you won't write about your experiences.  Some of us are pretty sensitive, and wouldn't want to risk further embarrassment.   In need of lovin   Thats funny Right?

Joe

PS: I just signed up for a year subscrition with them.  It looked like it was worth 12 bucks.

Thanks Joe.  I've had a couple of pieces published here andthere but I'm not a writer by profession.  Highland Park was just a great place to ride so I wanted to share with the world.  I've thought about doing a piece about riding off road in NY (Tug Hill area), but it's difficult to figure out who's who and what's what.

DR is an excellent mag.  Mostly MX, but they offer some excellent tech tips and such .  It's well worth the sub price.

Hi DD,
The Hill is easy to figure out.
There is Oswego County ATV Club.  Private trail system with about 100 miles of trails, probably 25% of which is blacktop.

Then there is everyone else...at least now that the clibs on the Hill have formed their alliance.  Lots of seasonal roads and blacktop.  Some off-road riding, and hopefully a lot more to come in the future.  If you come up or a poker run when some extra roads are open, you can cover some serious miles in one day.  I've ridden 150 miles (149 actually) on one last year.  Did 114 miles on the first one this year.
I do wish they had some more woods riding, but I'm glad for what they have so far.

I'm sure JZO could fill you in on tons of historical (not hysterical)club info that would make for a GREAT story of how off-road riding is actually expanding in NY, and shrinking everywhere else.

If you keep this up you might end up with a writers position at a dirt bike mag!

Joe

I believe that there is one place that does it.  JZO would know for sure.  Maybe he'll stop this and chime in.  IF you're interested in writing a story about the Hill, he's a guy you should talk to anyway.  He is an informative guy.  Maybe send him a PM if you don't hear from him.

If you want to ride the Oswego County Trails I'm sure we can get a few of the guys to give you the guided tour.  I'm betting we can come up with a machine for you too, as long as you're not picky about what brand you ride etc.

The trail systems are right next door to each other so it would be easy to ride one system one day, and the other the next.

I don't remember the year but, same type of thing happened to THEHILL with a sled article.  There were sleds from everywhere ,got stopped on a corner by a group that wanted to how to get somewhere, asked where they wanted to go he had no idea, just read a mag. and said how great riding was here and decided to show up,I asked the fellow and group where they were from " W. Virginia", that following 2-3 years we had more racing wan'nabes running around.
