just got my recall letter in the mail. the clutch cover eroding due to a chemical reaction with the coolent. they are going to replace the motor oil, the clutch cover , the oil filter , and the coolent (free of charge) oh boy!!!!!  it was time to change my break in oil any way. so it is kind of a plus for me (but it might be a pain in the ars for some) they say if your oil level is high or milky white do not ride it .and call the dealer to make an appointment to have the work done .even if you have no  problems get it done . because it is going to happen.

Suzuki has been on a role lately.  Well, at least they are taking care of thier customers, and you are getting a free oil change out of it.

I saw this  afew days ago and my first thought was "well it's about time!".  There have been reports of this online for like 6 months.  I guess the pressure must have finally gotten to them.

Yes and no.  A recall takes a while to get rolling, especially since there was not a big safety concern with this one.  Reading about problems on the internet reveals things a little quicker to the public is all.  I still remember people were paranoid the first year YFZ's had bad trannies like the first year Raptors.  Seems like there were a few that were rough shifting, but even those worked out over time.  People were clamoring for a recall, though it never happened.
