Rode the re-route last week... I think it is a better route that the old trail was especially early/late season... no more mud holes!

AGREE, Since the day that I went and opened the gates on the old trail I was OK going across to open  gate on the other end and on my way back I was in about 3 feet of ice and "water" and with all the turns I coiuldn't really put the hammer down and I'm happy to say that had been my last trip across the old trail. I just ask everyone to stay on the trail.

I did go off the trail slightly at the farm where it looks like the trail goes straight (corn stalks are cut straight) but takes you to to a wall of hay bales... the trail actually bears right but there was no arrow or other sign there... might want to throw up a sign there.

THANKS

I'll take a look at it.

It looked like the corn was cut for the trail but maybe the farmer changed his mind... the actual trail runs right behind a big red barn. Sorry but that's all I remember not sure on exact location.

That sounds like the trail  that is just past the Maples coming towards copenhagen. The trail did go towards the barn for several years and then to get away from the sharp turn and drop off we moved the trail to the left.

No we were coming from Barnes Corners... went through Copenhagen and crossed the bridge then went in the fields... I'll look at an old map and try to pin point the spot... I don't have a new map here at home... I know it was right after we crossed a road.

OK,
Once you crossed the bridge and went left behind the Cottage Inn you would have gone through the fields to the Roberts road. Then through another corn field and out into a hay field and once you went into the hay field is where the trail has changed as you went to the right to the woods.
