Hi, everyone is invited to the Edge Hotel in Lyons Falls for a groomer party. We intend to remove and store the tracks and try to get a idea of what is wrong with our engine. 10am is our starting time and I can't promise any food or beverage, just a good time. Turin Ridge Riders,,,,,

Engine is Mercedes Bentz V-6 420 series, last year we were using oil and antifreeze and found 2 cylinders with bad O-rings and sleeves, we had a pretty good winter and then the problem came up again. I'm thinking of all 6 cylinders, O-rings whatever, bearings because of the anti-freeze leak, we have a complete engine minus tubro but I understand it was a oil leaker also,,,,Dick

A 420 Series MBE is not an engine I'm familiar with...but I've pulled a wrench or two on a diesel. Out of curiosity, when you found leaky liners did you drop the oil pan and see that you had a coolant leak at the bottom of the liners? If so, you're probably right about needing to replace them all this time. I recommend to investigate the oil and antifreeze consumption as separate issues. My 2 cents (actual street value) Joe |

Come on,not many volunteers here. Alot of complaining all year during sledding season but not much help when the chance to showup and produce some results!!!!
