Outlander came in for an "oil leak"

Leak seemed to be coming from behind the inner belt housig.

Upon removal of the inner belt housing an aluminum disc came rolling out and here is what we found OMFG


The disc was part of the transmission housing that got blown off by the bearing (below the input shaft) note the crack that runs from the lower bearing through the input shaft bearing to the top of the case!



Rather than dig into the trans and replace the case a quick fix was decided upon...

NEW TRANSMISSION!
