2009 KTM 300 XC-We

« on: July 12, 2010, 11:09:54 PM »

I have been in intense negotiations with my wife for a new FJR.  Negotiations are in their 3rd week and appear to have ground to a halt.  After buying a new KTM last year, I can hardly blame her for opposing.  So, here's what I picked up instead.  You can tell who the REAL negotiator is in my house.
 :D

It's a 1971 Trail Jet.  It appears to be original, or very carefully restored.  It has the original engine and seat.  Needs some TLC, but it pulls me anywhere I want to go.  Not much top speed, but gobs of torque for a little machine.

Bolt it up to your KTM and you'll have a 4 wheeler!

I already fell off it once.  I caught a peg and high sided.  I wasn't smart enough to let go of the throttle either.

awesome! nice find! I would totally ride that thing around my neighborhood. Im in the process of making a weedwacker bike right now just for that purpose.
you should ride it all the way up to brantingham as far as you can go. that would be an awesome adventure

That's not a bad idea.  I bet I could register it as an ATV....
