Why you should not use Slime or other flat fixers

If you have alloy wheels this is what slime does for you over the long term... If you use this stuff to get out of the woods and back to your truck get it out and repair the tire properly ASAP!
This was the front wheel off of a Honda street bike... The oxidation was so bad the beads would not seat/hold air.
This is after a couple of hours of wire brush, 3M Surface Conditioning Disc on a die grinder and a final buff with a Scotch-Brite pad...

Wow! I woner if that stuff is corrosive, or just had enough water content to make it oxidize. I would never have suspected that that stuff did that. Great tip.
