i think hunting season is the second or third fri of october. allowing bikes on the ride will help, i would bet you would get another 40 riders out there on 2 wheels at least. i have a camp in brantingham, in lewis county and buy permits for two machines and still have no problem going to a trail ride event, it only depends on distance and if 2 wheels are welcome (which they usually are)

I live on Tug Hill and can ride from my house without paying an entry fee. The hassle of trailering to an event is not worth it for me. The older I get, the more so this becomes!
