Best stay away from this dealer if you are looking for any service work. They don't have a mechanic Worth a hill of beans. He has no clue on how to repair ATVS or anything with a motor.

I brought my Brute Force in last October because I couldn't keep oil in it. It had no leaks so it had to be burning it. On a fast hard ride of 40 to 60 miles it would run out of oil. It was still under warranty so I brought it in for repair. Mark said no problem it would be warrantied. Once they had it in their shop and all apart they said "Not warrantied because of owner neglect because of lack of maintenance". I said bull, that wasn't the cause. I own and operate an auto repair shop for over 12 years, been working as a mechanic for over 40 yrs and have owned 7 ATVs over the years so I know the importance of maintenance. His mechanic said it was dirt that caused the problem. I told mark that I wanted him to show me one spec of dirt or dust in the intake system after the air filter. He takes the air box and says look at the dirt. The dirt he was talking about was before the air filter. I said no, look after the air filter. He couldn't find ANY. Then his mechanic shows me the scored cylinder. It was lightly scored way on the bottom. I tried to explain that it wasn't caused by dirt but because it was run low on oil because I couldn't keep oil in it. Once he told Kawasaki it was dirt they wouldn't listen to me and voided the warranty. They let Dames re ring it under what they called a "GOOD FAITH WARRANTY". I got bike back in the beginning of Feb. Ever since I got it back it didn't run right so Brought it back to Dames for them to fix what they screwed up because when it went it originally went in to them I couldn't keep oil in it but it did run OK. Once I got it back it still used oil and wouldn't start very good and run like crap. I told Mark that I figured the cam timing was off. He said no way that could be. He told me that the bike getting old and I had to expect it to not run right.

Friday I had some time to check out the problem. Just as I expected the rear cam was advanced 1 tooth on the chain. I set it to where it is meant to be and now the bike runs like it should. I also think I know the reason of burning oil. It is a design flaw and will be doing some investigating on that.

Now that Kawasaki thinks I don't know how to maintain my machine there is no reason for me to share with them my findings. But anyone else interested in it send me an e-mail and I'll gladly share as long as it is not from Kawasaki or Dames Motorsports!!!!......

Sorry about the long post by figured the public needed to know to "BEWARE"

There was a bit more to the story but cut it as short as I could and still get the facts out

This is the first time I have ever heard of a Kawie v-twin burning through so much oil(or any oil for that matter!)  Are you sure it is a design flaw, maybe you just got a fluke motor?  That dealership truely does suck.  It is a rare ride that I don't accumulate some dirt or mud in the airbox.  Heck, if nothing ever got in, then we could all skip running the filters, right?

From the rumors I've heard. Theres a lot of BF 750 with motor problems. Mostly in areas where theres a lot of road running.
that's where I seem to have the oil problem. If i trail ride say 15 to 30 MPH i don't burn a drop of oil but when i hit the roads and and run 40 to 65 MPH i can't keep oil in. There is a run we do a couple of times a year from Standish to Deer Valley Trails and its all roads. Some dirt and mostly blacktop. Its about 150 mile trip and by the time I get back to truck I'm out of oil to the point where the oil doesn't touch the end of the dipstick. I can go up and ride the trails in Quebec where we run 100 miles of easy trails at about 25 mph and it won't burn a drop.
