06 Suzuki King Quad

I like this machine. Its a 700 pound sport quad. Its pretty fast and in 4x4 it gets through some nasty stuff. The front end has light steering so its a little tritchy, but I like that. A real smooth ride and crazy fast. Push button 4x4 and Dif Lock. Extra lights help and shes pretty reliable for the 8 months and about 700 miles. The only real gripe with is is the Front end is to soft I have it up all the way up but one and in the sand its tough. I also did a wheelie at Trikfest and on the on the side of the grass was a dirt road and ruts. My Front wheeles came down in one and compressed and put me on the nose of the quad. She stayed there ong enough for me to get mostly out of the way when she came over on me. But once you learn thge way it handles its a fun, sporty go anywhere quad. Worth looking into if your looking for a proven quad.
Oh yea Ive had her at the air strip and hit 72 mph. Shes fast enough.

Great review.
Sounds like with some front end adjustment and shock work its a very sweet ride.

Well I still like my Suzuki King Quad and shes been great up to camp exploring the Adirondaks and pulling deer out of the woods. Ive gone a few rides with members here and its been alot of fun and well worth the time. Last time up to Mik6's place in the fall I broke the Rear Swing Arm Linkage on the Right side. Didnt even know it because I was having so much fun and all of the different terrain. I figure I probably broke it when railing around some of those Berm in the Sand Dunes.
After I noticed the next time I pulled her out, I did some research and this is what I found.
Breaking Axles is a Hastle
We admittedly push our test quads to their limits and beyond. The King Quad project was no different. While doing so, we broke a total of three stock axles. Oddly, it was always the right rear and in the exact same spot on the axle shaft. Each break happened when landing from a jump. And finally, each and every axle failure became more frustrating than the previous. It didn’t seem logical why they would do this. We knew of other hard core guys having the same problem, so with a little research, we found Daniel Turner of Turner Cycles in Humble, TX. Turner builds custom drive lines for hard core 4x4 customers, including Four Stroke Tech’s new “Mudzilla”. After a number of conversations, Daniel agreed to create a custom set of rear axles for our axle-eater. The Turner axles took much more abuse than the stockers would allow. but, after a really hard landing, we were able to also break our new Turner axle. Coincidentally, it broke in the exact same spot as all the stockers did, which leads us to the assumption that there could be a geometry problem with the rear suspension. The axle seems to get a lot of side load in a spot where there shouldn’t be any. Since the Turner axle comes with a full warranty, breaking an axle isn't as hard to accept now. We were shipped a replacement right away and back in business.
Well I figure I fall into that Category. I plan on pretty much getting as many of the Mods in that Artical for my King Quad but my Damn 3 Wheelers keep eating up all of my Money. Im addicted to 3 wheelers as I ilke vintage rides and to have something not everyone else has or can even ride.

A real good write up on the King Quad. All of the goodies you would want for it and a ride report you need to read.
I plan on getting a few of the goodies listed for sure.
