Judge upholds DEC closing roads
3/20/2007 9:27 PM
By: Web Staff

ATV's will still not be allowed on several roads in the Adirondacks. In 2004 the DEC closed off 54 roads in Lewis, Saint Lawrence, Herkimer and Oneida counties. The Black River Valley 4-Wheeler Club had challenged the DEC mandate. But a judge is upholding the mandate.

The roads were closed because ATV's were damaging forest preserve land.

That was a very long and a very hard fight , the treehuggers had the money and we didnt , case closed.

It was a nice place to ride but I wouldnt go there every day , I rather ride the hill and spend my money in quad friendly towns.

I'm not sure if there are any "quad friendly" towns left in NYS.

Your right about "Them" having the money and we dont. NY has alot of ATV clubs and they have a handful. It would be nice to see someone organize all the ATV clubs into one. Then you will see results.

That's how I have my sites set up. Spammers are making accounts on a daily basis on some of my sites.

Thats just it.... they are posting under a guest status, which I have turned off, but for some reason they are still getting posts in.
There was a member that tried signing up with the same IP, we have a e-mail validation process and they never validated the account to use it to post.
I would hate to make member sign up be approved by a administrator or moderator, this would take a little bit of time to get the accounts approved and I think it would hamper new members from actually signing up then posting.
I believe this is actually a bot doing this, if it wasn't the links they are posting would actually work, but they don't.
There is a security update / patch for our version of software, I need to get it installed soon, maybe tonight.
Hopefully that will stop this from happening again.
