While battling the snow at the SNIRT Run this year I was rather intrigued by the person riding the Renegade in the field at Flat Rock.
I see the Renegade is kind of in short supply and they are selling for 9 to 11 thousand !!!
Is it worth that much?
It looks like a blast to ride and there wouldnt be a problem with power with a 800 EFI on a sport / 4wd hybrid type quad.....
Has anyone had the opportunity to ride one?

Haven't rode one but have read an article where they put it up against a Yamaha Raptor 700 and a Yamaha Grizzly   They didn't like the weight  800 lbs. OMFG  didn't like they way it handled either.  I still got the mag  give me a shout  and keep the KFX!!!!

I read the same article and couldn't believe the difference between claimed and actual weight! Wow!

On the other hand, they look sweet as heck and if that extra weight adds rigidity and durability I'm sure it would be a total blast to thrash.

Then again, can you imagine what you'd get out of a KFX that you spend 10K on?

I would end up killing myself on a 10k KFX......
The Renegade peaks my interest due to having 4wd... the SNIRT Run and the KFX about killed me, I am still a bit sore...

Well, you could always get bigger, beefier tires and a 900 BBK for the V to compensate. Ground clearance is all you were lacking, hell I was in 2wd most of the day.  LOL LOL LOL

I also saw the one at Flat Rock and at the time he was stuck! :D  I did get to see one up close at a local Can Am dealer. They look awesome. I would love to test one out. Judging by the way my Outty rides and handles, I think that would be even better. I know I have read the claimed weight of the Outty is waaaayy off too. From what I understand, the Renegade is identical to an Outlander, frame motor, tranny. They just lost the racks, and changed the suspension and plastics. That would explain the price. I was worried about spending that much on a quad, but for me and my bike it was absolutely worth it! Just my .02

I'm going to dig out my DW mags and see if they ever mention a "true" weight for the 800 Outty. That would be very interesting I think.
