Are you planning on buying a street legal motorcycle? I put it that way to encompass everything from cruisers to dual-sports.

If you are, what are you considering? Would you care to share why?

I love bikes, all sorts! Even the ones I can't fit on (sporty types) are cool. If it's got two wheels I'm all in!  :D :D

In two more years when the Sporty's paid off I'll be hopping on an Electra Glide Standard or a Road King. I've started to grow a fondness for the Victory's but they only offer one bagger and its 18 grand.

I guess I need to vote in my own pole!

I picked KTM. I've posted before about how much I like the DAKAR style bikes and I really like everything I've read, seen and felt about the big KTM twins. Most likely the next bike for me will be a 990 Adventure. That super lightweight, extremely powerful, EFI engine and those long legs are just too much for me to resist.

I actually owned a Suzuki Burgman 400 last year & it was awesome! GreatWhiteHunter & I rode it 2 up at 85 mph with no problem! This is a picture that is exactly like the one that I had.

We paid $3600 for a used '04 with less than 1600 miles on it. The thing looked and ran like new. You can find the Suzuki or Yamaha 400's every now and then if you watch the classifieds/swap sheets. I found that one at WantAdDigest.com.

I see that 2 people voted for the Can-Am. I'll be riding one on thursday morning in Lake George. I registered to do a demo ride on the new Spyder. Farmgirl is going with me so we'll most likely ride it two up. They're supposed to take pix of us and I'm going to try to get some of my own. I'll post them here when we get back.

I can hardly wait!

I'll probably be on the DRZ 400 for a few more years yet but we are in the market for a small D/S for Lynn Not many choices when it comes to smaller D/S bikes... probably DR200 'zuke or XT225 Yam.

Unless a nice vintage 4stroke enduro comes up.

I rode this today...

It's the Ducati Multistrada 1100. I rode with one of the sales guys at ThunderAlley for about 1/2 hour. This was my first ride on a Ducati ever. Until the Multi I never thought there would be a Duc that I could fit on. The leg room was just about as good as my Strom but this thing is waaaay different. When I threw a leg over I immediately felt like I was sitting on a dirt bike! Wide, flat bars, narrow waste and steep raked forks meant that this thing would steer very quick! Short story is that the motor is absolutely amazing, pulls so strong that it has to be experienced to be believed, the suspension was spot on and it was flat amazing to experience.

After this experience and not having yet ridden a KTM twin I have to say that this is definitely in the running for "My Next Bike". Actually, the 1100S with the full Ohlins Suspension would be more like it.

Here's the S...
