I saw this yesterday on ArcticChat.com. Apparently someone got some screenshots when AC "accidentally" released the 2008 ATV's on their website. The site was quickly changed back, but the word was out.

I trully thought someone was pulling a prank. Now I have to sell some stuff.  :D

And axles....
I wonder if they beefed them up for this application?
They are claiming 188 ft lbs of torque at the output shaft.... what that puts to the ground I don't know...

With that kind of torque and only 5 or 6 lbs of air, I hope they all come with some kind of bead lock.

I guess I should clarify, they claim 188 ft lbs at the output shaft, now is this the engine?  or coming out of the transmission?

That's a good question.

I stopped at Wheel-A-Way today and they were unboxing the new AC brochures. I grabbed one (of course) and they specs are all there for the Tigercat. There is something in there about a significantly changed rear differential but I didn't see anything about axles. The 650 had the ability to twist the axles until the castle nuts popped off on some fo those machines, so I'm not sure what will happen.

On a different (same?) note, I also stopped at Thunder Alley today. Got a ride on a new Ducati, man that was sweet. That's not the coolest part though. The sales guy I was talking to told me that he'd give me a "great deal" on a new Brute. To the point that he said they'd be willing to sell it at a loss. When I'm serious about buying, I'm going back there with Troy City Garage's prices and see if he lives up to his word. If he does, there's no way I could justify the additional 3 to 4 K for the new Thundercat. That 750 would be more  that enough for me!

Oh, and he mentioned that the '08 750's will be EFI.  OMFG

The 4 seater Prowler is the only one that is not in production yet. It's slated for 2008, possibly late '08.

There are several military models that he didn't get great pix of and those rescue units are done by an after-market company. A Grizzly was shown in a Dirt Wheels not too long ago that was done up by the same company. Pretty slick stuff.
