I clipped a rock on my bike yesterday.  My middle toe took the entire force of the bike and me moving at a decent clip.  Without MX boots I would probably still be looking for my toe back on the trail.  It scratched the hell out of my boot and my toe is a little sore but other than that I am good to go.

I made the pic that big so anybody can use it for wallpaper if they want. :D You are right, when I see them that big they look like hobbit feet.   LOL  I have Thor Quadrant boots.  They have a hard plastic toe that covers most of the front of your foot.  This is the second time I have hit this damn rock.  The first time was on the quad coming from the other direction last year.  So heading from the opposite direction on the bike I was thinking, "where was that rock I hit on the quad?"  Seconds later I had my answer.  Its not even a rock,  it looks like a huge chunk of an old foundation or something.  The damn thing is always covered with weeds so you can't see it.  It sits only inches from quad ruts.

I want to say it was on the "Freedom Trail" but I am not sure if thats it.  It goes through some powerlines and connects back to a gravel trail that goes by the sand lot.
