Anyone have any knowledge. My 99 GMC with a 4.8 took a dump while I was driving down the road. It no want to start after that! I was thinking feul pump but after it sat a while it fired up, ran about 45 seconds and spittered and sputtered to its death again. Then it no starty again. Then after setting a few hours, it fires up again and runs another 45 seconds to its untimely death. Now I'm thinking feul filter but it doesn't make any sense that it would get feul after setting a few hours if the filters clogged without the pump running and if I could get the damn thing off I'd change it to make sure. They leave you approximately no room to get in there and turn a wrench and the compression nuts are rustier than hell and what little I can do with the no room supplied ain't working. Obviously though, if it fires after setting, the pump must still be working cuz somethings pushing feul to the injectors. At least it better be seeing the cheapest aftermarket pump is $250

If anyone has any suggestions or just wants to make a smart ass comment, have at it. I can take it! And while I'm taking it, I think if I ever get it to run again, I'm going to take it over to Capraras and trade the money pit in.
