You might as well, NY isn't going to give us anything back.

I found a new ATV site this week that is stepping up to join all the clubs in the North East. If anyone belongs to a club out there let the officers know about it and get them to join. Here is the link http://coalition.northeastatvers.com/index.php

Also if you don't belong to a club join one. We need to get unified.

Ok that is BULL.  I'm registering my quad in PA next year.  NY can eat it.

They just take our tax dollars, our registration fees and say up yours  we don't have to do anything for you. Yup that is our State at there finest.

I have to ask: where the hell were NYTRO and NYSORVA in all of this?  Great work with the lobbying guys.

I won't give a cent to NY state or any of these organizations until they prove they are able to do something.  So far they have proven that they are a waste of space that will cause me to register my stuff out of state.

I hear many people talk about registering their quads in PA.  I have 4 to register and will be damned if I am going to give a penny of registration money to NY.  Can you register on line with PA?  I would appreciate it if anyone could provide a link, or information, for registering our quads in PA.

Thanks!

Adirondack Man,
Unless your already registered in PA it looks like you have to apply for registration by mail or person.
I got this from PAatving website for PA DCNR. The Dept of Conservation & Nat. Resources controls ATVs in PA rather than motor vehicle like in NY.
It's $20 for 2 years registration & $22.50 title fee if you don't have title for your machine.

Thanks for the info John. Since NY isn't willing to give us anything we all should move on and give our money to a state that is.

I am following up on this a little further. I talked with a Manager at Milford Chrysler(they also sell Suzuki quads & cycles) and he said that PA had recently changed their requirements that you have to have a PA license to register, but wasn't sure if that applied to quads as well as motorcycles & motor vehicles. I really hope that's not the case or we're up a creek. TAKE IT! I got DCNR # and will try to get more info as to what is exactly needed to be able to register the following:
1. An existing NY titled/registered quad.
2. An existing non-titled/NY registered quad.
I tried to call earlier but was on hold for 10 minutes and then had to hang up & attend meeting. If anyone wants to try also, the PA DCNR # is 866-545-2476.

To add to this, I am a PA resident and I just registered my new quad I bought in NY with a NY title.  They (PA notary) require either a photo of the vin # off the machine or a tracing of it!  I even brought my machine to the notary and then had to borrow a camera from a buisness across the street since the vin # was a sticker not raised numbers.   Call your notary before going there!!!!!!!!!!!!

John,

If it proves to be impossible for us to go there we can go to Mass. They have an out of state regi.

Ridgerunner,
thanks for the info. I have Friday off, so I am going to try & get over to Matamoras, Pa. There's a notary right along rt. 209/6. If they are open I will bring my paper work and see what they say.
